Dr. Nafiz Hasan is an experienced dental anesthesiologist who recently joined our team to provide mobile dental anesthesia services in Western New York. He completed his residency training in Dental Anesthesiology at Jacobi Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience in providing anesthesia for both medical and dental procedures, including for critically ill patients and babies. Dr. Hasan's residency training equipped him with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing routine and complex dental procedures.

Dr. Hasan was exposed to a wide range of anesthesia cases and worked in a Level 1 trauma center, where he developed skills in airway management and emergency anesthesia procedures. He also had rotations in various medical specialties, such as pediatrics, neurology, cardiology, and critical care, which helped him develop a comprehensive understanding of the medical conditions and co-morbidities that can impact anesthesia delivery.In addition to clinical experience, Dr. Hasan also received didactic training in areas such as pharmacology, physiology, and anatomy, as well as in pain management, anesthesia equipment, and patient monitoring.

 

Prior to his training in anesthesiology, Dr. Hasan graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree, as well as a Masters in toxicology and pharmacology from the University of Western Ontario in 2009. Following that, he attended the University of Toronto for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and worked in general practice for a number of years before starting his anesthesiology training in 2018. 
 

Known for his gentle and caring approach, Dr. Hasan is passionate about providing exceptional anesthesia services to patients of all ages, particularly those with special needs and young patients. His dedication to providing compassionate care has earned him a reputation as a highly skilled dental anesthesiologist.
